I've been getting a few messages and it's a good suggestion I've been getting to have more women on the podcast.

I think we've done a string of men talking about their experience being queer or LGBTQ.

We've had far less women.

So I have some women coming on the podcast because their stories are equally as valid.

And in my home today is Colette Dalton.

Colette is somebody I've gotten to know over the last couple of years, just a wonderful,

incredibly talented woman, and I'll do my best to introduce her, and she can, whatever,

after I was correct, add to, subtract. But Colette is in her early 30s. She identifies as

gay or queer or lesbian. She'll talk more about that. She has had this

long journey in BYU and the church system contributing in many ways. She got her bachelor's at

BYU. She got a master's in social work at BYU and then has been working for the church,

worked for Ensign College.

They used to be LDS Business School managing their help counseling and therapy,

and has recently left and is now a therapist at Symmetry Solutions.

So one of the things Colette will have insight on is being an LGBTQ Latter-day Saint is that journey, but also being a marriage and family therapist, to license clinical social worker.

She will have insights on what she's doing to help others.

So it's kind of this academic life she has plus her own personal experience, plus the clinical skills in

real life situations to help others. So most of the time we don't like script out these
