California that I wanted to bundle together and a kind of a muffin basket for you in this

special episode.

I'll talk to three different people here, or really three groups of people.

I'll talk with Sheila Bowen, her Central Valley family, as at the center of remnants, a new

documentary about the challenges of ranching in the era of Gavin Newsom created wildfires. We'll also visit with Ben Jarros

and Josh Rao of the Hoover Institution. They're giving us an update in their assessment of the

billionaire wealth tax coming up on the November ballot. We've spoken about this before, but there

have been some pretty dramatic revelations in this story as SEIU has tried to

fight back, but in that effort, SEIU has proved themselves, let's just say, mathematically

challenged. But first up, let's talk to Pacific Legal Foundation attorney Jeremy at

Talcott. You may remember that Jeremy is an attorney with PLF, and he was representing, or is representing, a small developer on the Central Coast in San Luis Obispo County.

And I don't want to spoil everything for you here, but let's just say that he had a surprising win.

And of all places, the California State Supreme Court, usually unfriendly territory for our side, but there it is.
