Summary

This week, Stacy and Dr. Sarah look at the differences in dietary protocol. They share their personal experiences, and what the science shows is the best place to start! You can find the full show notes with links to the products and articles discussed on this episode here. Listener Question Hello Dr. Sarah and Stacy! I was so happy to find your podcast during these strange times and have found all your Covid shows so helpful. I understand that neither of you strictly follow any of the diets you talk about on the show (AIP, Sarah’s Gut Health Diet and Paleo) but rather used them to find out what worked best for you over time. For those of us just starting out how do we go about picking a diet to start from? Is there a hierarchy here? And where does being a “nutrivore” fit into all of this? Apologies if you have already covered this, but I am slowly working my way through your shows. I have come to trust your recommendations and I would like to re-do my own way of eating, I just don't know where to start. here on the east coast. And I think with it, it has brought mercury and retrograde and

all the superstitions. Sarah faces to believe in. I believe the moon was full. Mercury and

retrograde. I forget to say rabbits, rabbits in the first of the month, all the things.

Did the groundhog see his shadow this morning? I don't even know. Whatever the wrong thing

1:03.8

is, I'm 100% sure that's what happened. Yes, because if we see his shadow six more weeks,

1:10.7

I think that's well, clearly six more weeks for having a blizzard. And anyway, also technically

1:16.6

spring doesn't start for like, it's fine. It's fine. All of my plants are dying because

1:22.7

they had blooms from it being nice weather a couple of weeks ago, but it's fine. So we

have that. We do know that it is, it is a new fresh start, a new month. And I'm hoping

1:34.2

that you're seeing less like advertisements and pressure to conform to some sort of dietary

standard that makes you not feel good. So instead, we're approaching this from the perspective.

We always like to approach this and addressing the differences with the dietary protocols

that are focused on health. So before we jump in, we do have a question and we're going

2:04.3

to be talking about the differences between many of the dietary protocols that we have

2:10.2

talked about on the show before. But I just want to remind you that this comes from a place

2:16.3

of optimizing health. We are not here to tell you to lose five pounds to fit into your genes.

2:23.7

In fact, we have done multiple shows that talk about yo-yo diets and doing dietary protocols
