In the moments of great anxiety and great struggle for us, we often isolate that moment, and we define it as failure and weakness.

Say, look at me, I'm struggling, and I'm so anxiety-ridden.

And figuratively, I feel like I'm sweating blood.

That's how heavy and hard and I don't have what it takes and I can't cut it.

And if we can reframe our thinking through the lens of the gospel and be reminded that struggle is not always the sign of weakness.

It's often the outcome of faithfulness.

encouragement in your journey. My guest today is my friend Jason Johnson. Jason was actually

my very first guest when this podcast started back in 2016,

so it's really good to have him back. Jason is a writer and a speaker who encourages families

and equips churches in their foster care and adoption journeys. He wants to help them find hope

and the support they need along the way. He is married to Emily, and together they have

four daughters and are licensed foster parents. And he also serves as the director of church

ministry initiatives with Christian Alliance for Orphans. Jason recently released his latest book

called Reframing Foster Care, filtering your foster parenting journey through the lens of
