Welcome listeners to another episode of Listen, Learn, and Love hosted by Richard Osler.

Before I introduce my guest, I just wanted to talk a little bit about this Facebook group that I've put together.

It's called LGBTQ and Allies and Ward, Stakes stakes, and missions. You can search for it on

Facebook, but the goal of the Facebook group, if you want to join, it's for active Latter-day Saints

that have a desire to put together LGBTQ-related content or activities in ward, stakes, seminaries,

and institutes, class discussions.

There's just kind of a wave of people wanting to talk about this and local leaders also

wanting to talk about it. But a lot of people are trying to start from scratch. And in this group,

people are sharing ideas, talks, actual things that are happening. It's kind of a way just to

virtually counsel together

so that you can put together the right things in your area. If you're a local leader, you're

welcome to join. We have lots of local leaders in the group, so it's not just members. It's

local leaders also. But that's my only housekeeping thing for the day. Listen day listeners my guest on today's podcast is my friend

here in my home in person i became aware of a talk he gave in sunday school as gay Latter-day Saint in his YSA ward in Houston.

Just by way of background, Jeff Peers grew up in Nashville,

Tennessee. He has three siblings. He is a BYU guy. He came out of the BYU accounting program

with an undergraduate degree and also a master's degree. And I'm aware of that's a difficult program

and a top-rated program in the nation.
