Anna Calvi joins me to discuss her score for seasons five and six of the legendary series Peaky Blinders.

loved show and hearing her talk about her creative process in soundtrack and it is utterly

Ah! The The The Let's get straight into it. It's been so lovely getting to revisit your amazing work on Piki. In fact, I listened back to a conversation that I had with

Killian and Anthony way back when season five was about to be launched, which is a few years ago.

But Anthony was just telling us about the kind of connection that he had with your music,

first and foremost, before he even really thought about you coming on board and being

such an important part to the journey from that point on. Can you remember how the opportunity

was presented to you? Yeah, well, Anthony came to my London show that was at the roundhouse

and he came at stage and he was like, oh I, it's really great. We should, you know,

go for a lunch or something. So we met up. He just offered me, he was like, just play some guitar

on one scene. So I was like, great. I'd never done something like before. And I did it and he was so

happy with it. He was like, do you want to do the whole show? And so I was like, okay,
