Hello film fans, welcome to a brand new episode of soundtracking with me, Edith Bowman. Now this week,

we are coming to you from a slightly more glamorous location than usual, as I am currently

slowly crawling my way along the quesette to the red carpet of the Pali Theatre for the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.

This episode I'm so thrilled to say is brought to you by our very dear friends at BMW,

who have been partners of the festival for the past three years

and have given us the opportunity to be here at the festival and share this experience with you.

Now there are so many great films in and out of competition at the festival

and we really hope that over the next year or so we get the trance to bring you as many of those storytellers as possible to the podcast.

And we're really lucky to start that journey this week. Now, Furiosa had its

European premiere at Cannes just a few days ago and I was there to savour up the atmosphere and witness

the incredible reaction the film received. I was also lucky enough to catch up with composer Tom

Hokenberg just the morning after the premiere,

sorry about that Tom, and director George Miller just a few days later in London.
