The chattering class seems to be obsessed with the lovers quarrel between President Trump

and President Musk, an inevitable turn of events between two with the lover's quarrel between President Trump and President Musk,

an inevitable turn of events between two of the world's most powerful and wealthy men.

There were always questions about how long this relationship would last, given that both

are used to getting whatever they want. And Musk was clearly not happy with the contents of the

1,116-page Big Beautiful Bill that

passed the House by a 215 to 214 vote. Musk, a self-described foe of pork-filled spending,

was furious that the bill would increase the deficit by $2.4 trillion over 10 years.

Closer to home, the bill would also end the so-called clean vehicle credit,

which allowed a buyer of, say, a Tesla to claim a tax credit of $7,500.
