Mighty Blue on the Appalachian Trail, the ultimate midlife crisis, joined Stephen his guests every week as he staggers from Georgia to Maine.

0:26.2

Hi, welcome back to the show. Thanks very much for dropping by again. This is episode

0:31.5

number four and today I'll be speaking for the third consecutive week with another member

0:36.6

of the class of 2014.

0:39.1

I guess it was always likely that I'd have on people with whom I hiked.

0:43.2

Yet that wasn't particularly my plan.

0:45.3

Indeed, next week I'll be talking with a couple who hiked the AT back in 2001.

0:50.8

1:29.4

1:34.7

Appalachian Trail it became. He, rather stridently, wanted me to know that only

1:40.4

northerers say it that way I was saying it. It seems that the same South-North divide that I've always known from the UK is a universal thing.

1:48.5

Who knew?

1:49.7

Does anybody have an alternative pronunciation?

1:53.2

I have a couple of five-star comments from iTunes from the podcast, so while the going's good, I'll read them out.

1:59.9

Becky DB5 says, I'll read them out. Becky, DB5, says,

2:02.5

Great beginning.

2:04.0

She continues. I enjoyed this first episode and I'm looking forward to next week's.
