Hello everybody. It is Melanie Mitro, the host of the Melanie Mitro show. Welcome back. So excited

you're here. And today's podcast is actually a very much a personal reflection over some of the

events that I have either attended or hosted over the past couple of weeks. I'm very much in the thick of

building my direct sales business for the second time. And I have 15 years of experience,

which is kind of wild to say, it makes me feel a little bit old. But I've been in the industry

for quite some time. And, you know, I built, I grew,

I scaled my very first network marketing business from the ground up from, you know, 75 Facebook

friends. I didn't have an Instagram account when I started. I don't have a background in sales,

marketing, or leadership. And what I did have was vision and passion.

And I had pain, right? So vision, passion, and pain, which I feel like are three really

important keys of success. And why do I think that, right? I feel like you have to have vision for where you want to go.

There has to be this vision for a different life, something different, something better,

something more, something you want to change. And a lot of times it really comes out of of this pain and this pain for saying, I don't like

my current situation. And for me, if I rewind time and go back 15 years ago, the pain for me was

feeling like our back was up against the wall. We were in a corner and we were struggling. What was

looming over us was this debt that we couldn't get away from. We weren't getting ahead.

We were just barely getting by. And at the end of every single month, once the bills were paid,

there was maybe an extra $75

left in the bank account. There was no additional money to take a family vacation to do those

random trips to Target so the boys could buy a new toy or play dates, you know, out where we

were spending money. Everything was a financial burden. And that was putting a lot of

pressure on our relationship because our number one argument was finances. I was a stay-at-home mom.
