I'd like to start out by thanking everyone who submitted a question.

I was worried we wouldn't get enough good ones to turn it into a full show, but as it turns out, I've been flooded with too much good material and been forced to make some tough decisions about which wants to answer.

We also got a lot of people asking about the same topics, which I wasn't expecting.

I've combined some questions where I could.

There were two popular question subjects that I'm not going to address in this episode, and I'll tell you why.

The first is, unfortunately, the single most popular topic, Napoleon's family.

I guess a lot of you noticed it's been a while since we heard from the rest of the bonaparts.

That's because I've got a few episodes planned for the near future devoted entirely to this topic.

I feel bad skipping it because as far as I can tell this was the subject of every question we got from a female listener or from outside the Western world.

But trust me, it's coming soon and I think it'll be worth the weight.

The second popular topic I'm ducking in this show is Corsica.

Pasqualee Pauly has turned out to be a fan favorite,

and I'm glad because he's one of my favorite characters from this story as well, and I think he's criminally unknown.

I've been working on and off on a side project specifically about what happened on Corsica after the bonaparts went into exile.

I have a lot of my plate right now, so I have no idea when it will be ready or even what

form it will ultimately take.

But take heart.
