Today's guest is a return guest, Mike McKnight.

Mike's actually been on the show, I believe, three other times.

At times he's come on to talk about some of his nutritional approaches to ultramarathon,

training and racing.

Mike, like myself, follows a lower carbohydrate approach.

So I oftentimes like to check in to see what he's doing if he's making any tweaks or changes to that.

Also, he has been incredibly successful at these 200 plus mile races, which is a growing and very

exciting aspect to the ultramarathon umbrella of events that have become more and more popular over the last few

years. So I've had Mike on to talk about that side of the sport a few times as well. He has a list

of accomplishments within this and most recently just maybe topped all of them with his performance

this year at the Kokadona 250 mile race in Arizona,

which he has a very interesting history with.

And that history continued in what many will maybe consider one of the biggest

comebacks in Ultramarathon racing history.

So just a little reminder of who Mike is and what he's kind of accomplished. In 2017,

Mike first started kind of getting interested in these really long ultramarathons of the 200 plus

mile nature. And he was able to get first place at the Tahoe 200, sixth place at the Bigfoot 200,

and second place at the Moab 240, which earned him the triple

crown, meaning he had the fastest cumulative time between those three 200 mile events.
