YouTube has been making headlines again on March 29th.

Kevin Rousse published an article for the New York Times featuring a conversation with

the Chief Product Officer at YouTube who tried to deny the company's responsibility for

what people are calling the rabbit hole effect.

Users being recommended, more and more extreme videos, resulting in people being exposed

to conspiracy theories, neo-Nazi propaganda, and other intellectually fraudulent content.

Less than a week later, in mush to the chagrin of YouTube, Mark Bergen published an article

for Bloomberg claiming that executives at the company were purposefully avoiding the

issue.

Quote, proposals to change recommendations and curb conspiracies were sacrificed for engagement.

Staff say, damn.

To add insult to injury, this was followed by a Charlie Warrzell opinion piece in the New

York Times entitled, quote, big tech was designed to be toxic with the subtitle greed.

It's about greed.

Oh no, why are people being so unfair to YouTube?
