Des Moines. We talk about U.S. men's soccer. Columbia beat the US men 4 to2 in Tampa on Thursday night.

This was always going to be a mismatch.

And with the U.S. missing its three best players and already wide gap in quality grew

wider.

Columbia is real good, a legit top eight team in the world.

Several of their starters would be the greatest American player of all time and we are not

going to hang with them in 2018 or 2019 and maybe ever. are not howl at the moon

and maybe ever.

So let's not howl at the moon about the Gulf and quality.

It doesn't really matter that we lost.

That's a fair result and it's going to be a fair result anytime we face

Columbia. What matters is whether we learned anything. So Greg why don't you run

down what experiments were conducted by Dave. Dave Serican last night?

With any scientific experiment, you're going to need some controls, some known quantities.

Tonight's controls, I think, were the goalkeeper, the back line, and Bobby Wood

up top. Basically everything else I think was sort of a variable.
