I'm your host Lindsay and I'm so grateful you're here today.

Today you're listening to episode 347 and my guest is Returning Guest Emily Durgan.

Emily was first on the podcast.

I think it was the summer of 2020.

She was episode 274 so if you want to get a little intro to Emily, check out that episode.

So much has changed in her life since we first talked on the show.

When we first talked, she had recently announced joining the Under Armour Dark Sky Distance

team in Flagstaff and she had really just begun taking her professional running to the next level.

And so since then so much has happened this past summer in 2021, she just had a really big year.

At first she placed ninth at the Olympic trials in the 10,000 meters against a pretty stacked field.

She then went on to four times place in the top three at a US Road Champ race.

She placed second at Peach Street in the time of 31, 49 and that's a 10K.

She shared the podium with Sarah Hall and Annie Frisbee at that race.

Annie Frisbee, who just ran really well in her debut marathon in New York, I might add.

And she also ran a half marathon PR, big PR.

She ran 69, 49.

So a big year for Emily and we decided it was time to have her back on the podcast and hear what

she's up to. She also recently switched from Under Armour to Adidas sponsor wise.

So we talk about the reasoning behind that and what all of that has looked like for her.
