opioid crisis.

Addiction is an issue that impacts individuals from every walk of life and has led to tragic

destruction and, in some cases, suicide in other cases simply people dropping out of normal

society.

My guest today was a young staffer in the White House during the Clinton administration.

But just a few years later, he would face the challenges of addiction, homelessness,

and being alone.

In 2015, he began his recovery from a decade of active opioid use and is now a leading

national voice for addiction recovery.

He's a recovery advocate, community organizer, and author.

His first book was American Fix Inside the opioid addiction crisis and how to end it.

It tells his personal story of addiction recovery.

And he's joining me today to discuss his new book Unceteled How the Purdue Pharma bankruptcy

failed the victims of the American overdose crisis.
