Hey, everybody. Welcome to You're Born for this podcast with Father John Ricardo and Mary Guilfoil.

We're a couple of missionaries at Acts 29, and this is the podcast where we talk about how acquiring a biblical worldview brings us great hope in the God who created and rescued this world in order that you and I can be agents of transformation and

recreation. Habemus, Papam, Mary. I was just like saying that. I know. I know. You said it for days

in advance, and you did it with an Italian accent, and it was glorious. I don't think I've stopped

smiling since Thursday of last week. I am just delighted.

Remember, Father John, we were praying that God would give us the man that was on the heart of God.

Yeah. And I think he has. I mean, just a great time in the church. Just, yeah, we had a blessing to be out with the Presbyterate in Crookston in Minnesota,

with Bishop Cousins and the Fine Brothers up there.

And we were just about to leave.

We were wrapping up the day.

And we had finished our part, and the bishop was giving some concluding remarks

about a plan that he's got for the diocese, which I'll let him share with the diocese.

And suddenly someone just kind of like walked up to him and said, there's white smoke.

He went, oh, okay.

Well, we'll wrap this up quickly then.

We got about 30 minutes.

And then we sat there.

The hotel where we were staying, brought in champagne.

So much fun. And we all sat there and our jaws hit the ground when suddenly we found out that Pope Leo the 14th born in the United States and Chicago is our new Pope.

So praise the Lord.
