Hey guys, welcome to the field craft survival podcast. I am the director of

Family Preparedness here. Amber L and I have one of my near and dear friends with me here today. Her name is Erin Wilkins. I'll let her introduce herself to you, but she's been my friend for many, many years.

And I think that her life and what she stands for and believes in and the way she lives that out is a very, very relevant to what we subscribe to here at field craft and what we believe to.

And so I'm so excited to bring her on board and let you guys hear and have a conversation with her today. So I'm going to let her introduce herself.

Yeah, thank you, Amber for having me in field craft. My name is Erin.

I'm registered nurse. I'm a mom to five kids. I have an amazing husband.

We recently moved from California to Tennessee in 2020. And that has been a wild journey.

You have a cow. We have a cow. It's crazy. I homeschool my children and yeah, we're just like diving into the home setting life right now. That's kind of what we're doing.

So building resilience every single day.

One milking session at a time. Exactly.

And that's one of the things I love about you is out of all the many is that it's never enough for you to just be uncomfortable with something or talk about something.

You are always so solution oriented and I deeply value that.

And I feel like that's something that I do well. And that's why that's something we always really resonate together with. However, you've had to make hard decisions.

And I think that's a lot of times I think I mean, could I do I have the the ability to do that? Yes. But would I have done it? You know how uncomfortable.

It's been such a process for you. But in every step of it, your vision for and your belief in what freedom lie lay on the other side was always deeper than the discomfort that existed in the interim period.

Sometimes that's a foresight that some people aren't able to have. And so you do it so well. And you and your husband been do it together as a team so well.

I feel like, but it's because you're not so you're not paralyzed and stuck in your fear.

And I think a large part of that is because you've always lived a lifestyle of preparedness, whether that's mental, emotional, financial, physical.

Like that's just something that you were brought up with. And so I think a lot of times people forget that there's that thread that's woven into the life of this prepared this life you're living that may seem wild and eccentric and crazy to most plays out down the road in the long game.
