Someone's gonna do it, and I think I know who. I'm almost positive I know who's going to do it. Someone is gonna blame impeachment for why they failed in Iowa.

I'm telling you, it's going to happen.

Sometimes you just can see these things coming down the pike. There is the phrase

that success has a million fathers and failure is an orphan, but I don't think that that's true in politics.

Because in politics, explaining away defeat is almost as important as doling out victory credit.

In fact, you very rarely see doling out victory credit. That's far more disputed.

Who exactly did what?

But you always see a rationale

as to why you lost.

And some people are a little bit more truthful.

I backed a issue that wound up being a loser,

or sometimes there are calamities.

Events that happen and just seem to eclipse where you're going with things.

But just as often there are reasons that maybe are in always driving with the facts. And so it is my belief that after months, if not a year plus of planning.

All of the wages for your staff,

all of the travel hours, the millions of dollars that were spent on these primary

campaigns that are about to see their first test that somebody's going to come up on the short side of the stick and at that point

they're going to point to impeachment.

Well, there's only a few that could have such an excuse, right?
