All right, folks, welcome back to another episode of the Human Performance Outliers podcast.

0:14.3

I'm your host, Zach Bitter.

0:15.5

And today I have a solo episode for you.

0:18.5

Today's episode is going to be me breaking down my most recent training and what will

0:25.2

ultimately be what leads me to the Brazos Bend 100 mile this weekend on December 3rd.

0:32.9

So for a bit of perspective, I jump into kind of how I structure training and why.

0:39.4

This one was maybe a little different than other training recaps because I was coming

0:44.5

off an injury this summer that had been a reoccurring issue from the prior year.

0:49.3

So I was a little bit in unfamiliar territory for myself, although I did have some good help along the way

0:56.2

to kind of guide my decision making. And thankfully, it led to me being able to do 100-mile

1:02.4

before the end of the year. So we'll see how that goes in a few days and then build out from

1:08.1

1:10.9

but I'm excited to get back to a little more of a traditional race schedule for me in the next year.

1:18.9

Now that I'm getting a little more confidence in my ankle issue that has been essentially a non-issue at this point and hopefully will remain

1:27.9

that way. But we talk about that quite a bit. I dive into kind of like the details of what I did

1:35.3

and why I did it and where I think I'm at going into this Saturdays 100 miles, some goals that I

1:41.3

have on the day. And yeah, just all of that. So also coming up,

1:46.6

I'll have a couple more episodes coming out before the end of the year. Two of those are going

1:53.9

to be guest interviews. They are with a two-part guest, Drs, Carl and Spencer Nodalski.

2:02.1

I had mentioned on a few previous podcasts that they were going to be coming on.
