Passengers shuffled through TSA security checkpoints and the usual fog of mundane travel.

Shoes off, laptops out, nothing in your pockets.

Among them was a man in a crisp PSA Airlines uniform, heading for the gate.

He was the co-pilot of Flight 5523 to Charlotte, North Carolina.

Then, with that warning, a team of eight law enforcement officers materialized from the crowd.

Heads turned as the officers converged on the pilot, arresting him in front

of the stunned passengers.

That night, the news broke.

The pilot's name was Kit Martin, a former U.S. Army Major.
