Hey, everybody, welcome to you. We're born for this podcast with Father John Ricardo and Mary

Guilfoyle. We're a couple of missionaries at Acts 29, and this is the podcast where we talk about

how acquiring a biblical worldview brings us great hope in the God who created and rescued this

world in order that we can be agents of

transformation and recreation. I almost said recreation, Mary, but I feel like an agent of

recreation today. How you doing? I'm doing great father, John. Hard to believe we are, at least

according to the liturgical cycle, halfway through Advent.

Yeah, unbelievable, unbelievable.

Praise the Lord.

Pass us also all too quickly.

And again, as you opened us up this morning, I was just thinking about the reality that

our visions restored, the way that we see things is restored when we have a biblical understanding of all of life.

And in a particular way, I can only speak for myself.

The fruit of my prayer, this Advent so far, has been, in a particular way, just this last week,

the Lord is restoring my vision.

Because it's so easy, I think sometimes to to get disillusioned

with things and to lose our joy and that's what we're going to talk about this morning yes absolutely

so our topic is are we known for our joy yes I'm so's go joyless, friend. Let's pray in the name of the

Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Amen. Our gracious Father, we just continue to thank you for these

extraordinary weeks that we're in this time of Advent. And we pray that amidst whatever it is that's

going on in our own lives personally and in our families,

amongst our friends, in the world, our country, the church, that you would bestow upon us the grace
