I'm your host, Lindsay, bringing you another episode in the year of polygamy.

And we are almost done with covering the wives of Joseph Smith.

Now, of course, I'm not covering all the alleged wives of Joseph Smith, just the ones that most scholars agree on.

And you're welcome to look at there there are much longer lists than the list that I'm going with. But I think that

this is a fair and good list to go from. If this is your first time tuning in, I would recommend

going with episode one with Fannie Alger, as these episodes are meant to go in order. So today we're going to be talking about another wife, Joseph Smith.

This time, the woman's name is Desdemona Wadsworth Fulmer, and you can read the text about her life if you'd like.

She was born in Pennsylvania on October 6, 1809 to parents Peter Fulmer and Susanna Zerfoss. She is also the sister

of David Fulmer, who is mentioned briefly in this biography. And does Demina, we are so lucky that

we have a lot of her own writing, and I'd like to let these women tell their stories whenever

possible. So let's let Des Demona bring us in.

I want to write a short history of my life. The more particular part that I think will do

you some good and those that came into this church not having the same experience that I have had.
