Today's episode is episode 300 and it's part 13 of our mini series on the Tippett murder.

Today, I'm going to tell the story of several persistent anomalies that took place in the aftermath of the Officer J.D. Tippett murder and the arrest of Lee Harvey Oswald at the Texas Theater. We'll discuss the conflicting accounts

regarding the discovery of the assassin's light gray jacket, contrasting the official version

with what appears to have really happened. And we'll spend a few minutes telling the story of the unusual police convergence on the

Abundant Life Temple, a church with dubious alleged ties.

And finally, we turned to the story of Witness Bernard Hare, who witnessed the arrest of a man

taken from the Texas Theater through the rear exit exit fueling theories of an Oswald double

or a staged arrest.

So, without further ado, let's get right to it and listen Oak Cliff into a crucial artery for the killers to escape.

On the trail of the man who murdered Officer J.D. Tippett, police would make their first physical discovery of evidence

outside of the crime scene just minutes later. And it was a light gray zipper jacket. It was a

clue that they were solidly on the path of the assassin.

But there are two dramatically different and deeply revealing stories of exactly how this

crucial piece of physical evidence was found. And how it was found may help you to sort out

just how you feel about an officer or two in this process or not.

I'll let you be the judge of that, or more specifically, the jury, even though the Dallas

Police Department is not on trial here. But, well, I'm just saying. The Tippett murder at Tenth

and Patton sets off a manhunt. Dallas police swarm the scene

and they form a posse of police and soon they'd be on the trail and converging at a place

called the Abundant Life Temple, right off a 10th Street, a block off of Jefferson Boulevard,
