What should have been a peaceful day has become one of the darkest in recent memory.

The infirmary is crowded with the sewer-dwelling mutants known as Morlocks, many of whom are at

death's door, and upstairs, the new headmaster, Magneto, and the recently arrived Betsy Braddock

desperately try to contact the X-Men, who have not been heard from in hours.

It's just so overwhelming. I'm getting the hang of it, but there's just so much to take in.

Just keep trying, Elizabeth. You're doing fine.

Not yet.

We've done all we can for the injured we have, including Nightcrawler.

But the infirmary is beyond full capacity already.

If we receive any more patients...

They're arriving back here now from some passageway into the basement.

Magneto, Betsy and Hank sprint down to the basement, followed by Dr. Moira McTaggart. They are greeted with the horrific sight of the wounded and shaken X-Men,

escorting dozens of injured, traumatized Morlocks inside.

We made it. Home safe and alive.
