When we first started trying to organize fast food workers during the Occupy Oakland time,

because Occupy Oakland had the reputation of shutting things down too much, right?

And so we passed out flyers that said, hey, if you organize a fast food workers union here

and the boss messes with you before it will come shut you down,

come shut the job down.

So they have that threat.

They won't mess with you.

And a lot of people like that idea.

At one point, we're passing out flyers at this McDonald's and a manager comes up.

Give me that.

And he's reading it.

He then turns to everybody working there and says,

this is what we need. We need a union like this. This is the manager, right? This is before

SEIU started doing their work in fast food and all that. So the McDonald's Corporation hadn't

yet taught their managers what side they were on. And so at a certain point,

a lot of people are going to start seeing what side they're on because the bosses are going to be like,

hey, this is what happens. This is who you are. This is who you're supposed to be. But yes,

in that case, a corporate lawyer is acting as an executive.

And what they do is a whole, but I don't think we're going to, I don't think we want to,

I don't think anybody really cares.

But I don't shape a whole movement over what, what lawyers.
