I think that the best way to explain where we are is that this is about history. It's

not about politics. The decisions of President Biden have so torn the fabric of the world

system. There will be seeing consequences of this for 10 years. It has worldwide implications

and it makes the world I think unbelievably dangerous. More dangerous certainly than

any time since the Soviet Union disappeared and maybe more dangerous than most of the Cold

War. The decision to surrender to the Taliban and that's what they did. The decision to

abandon Afghanistan and abandon the Afghans who were helping us and who risked their lives.

The decision to do so without adequate coordination with the British, the French and all of our

allies. This runs a risk of tearing NATO apart. It has already emboldened our enemies so
