So today's guest is my friend and fellow ultramarathon runner, Nick Curry.

Nick has a very unique background in the sport of ultramarathoning.

He got to it at a fairly early age living in Arizona and helping his brother co-found

one of the biggest ultrammarathon race organizations in the

United States, if not the world, Ara Bipa running. So Nick's early years with that included

coming up with some of the software that they use for for timing and things at different meets

and events and stuff like that,

as well as just getting it in a position to have what I believe now is somewhere in the

neighborhood of like 40 events per year. So if you live in the Arizona area, and run trails

and ultramarathon type stuff, you're probably very familiar with the amount of offerings and

opportunities. Aerival puts out there for those interested in that type of an activity.

Since then, Nick has moved on into other areas of his career, but has continued to participate

in a sport as an ultramarathon runner and part owner of Aravipa.

And last year, Nick, even though his name was recognizable, really blew up because he went

on a tear when it comes to racing.

He did, I think it ended up being a total of 12 ultramarathons over the course of 2021.

And it culminated with an American record at the 24-hour distance at the Desert
