We're a couple of missionaries at Acts 29.

This is the podcast where we talk about the Word of God, usually the first reading for the Sunday coming up at Mass and how it can bring encouragement and conviction and transformation and hope into our lives.

Mary, welcome to June.

I know, Father John. It's hard to believe that we're halfway through the year.

Yeah, it's incredible, isn't it?

Yeah, yeah, but it's glorious here in Michigan. We've got lots of light. We've got the

graduation signs all over our neighborhood.

Seniors have graduated. Students are out and families are on vacation. And it's a great time.

Hopefully everybody's going to get a chance to get a little bit of a breather in these wonderful summer months that are about to begin, technically speaking anyway.

Hey, what's our topic for today?

So the title for our conversation today is,

who wrote the first gospel? And here's a little hint. It's not Matthew or Mark or Luke or John. So let's pray.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Gracious Father, we just entrust our time to

you right now. We ask for your Holy Spirit to be upon us,

to anoint us, to guide our conversation, to help us. We ask that you would speak to us those words

that you know each need to hear, help us to understand your word, and what it is that's being

communicated to us. All this we ask in Jesus'

name. Amen. In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. A couple of quick things

before we begin. First of all, a huge thanks to all of you who were praying for us last week when we were

out with Bishop Connolly and about 130 or so priests from the Diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska.

God just showed up as he always does, but it was really an honor for us to be with the brothers out there.
