Welcome back to another episode of the Human Performance Outliers podcast. I am your host, Zach Bitter.

0:18.3

All right. So I picked this episode to release today, partly because I'm coming back

0:24.1

from an exciting project that I took part in this past week, which is called the Speed Project.

0:30.7

So for those who do not know, the Speed Project is this interesting event, something different

0:36.7

than what I've ever done before

0:38.3

0:56.9

And you can set up your route however you want.

0:59.1

You can structure the logistics however you want.

1:10.4

So the team of six that I was on was put together by one of my sponsors, Ultra Footwear.

1:17.6

And we went from the Santa Monica Pier to Las Vegas in just over 30 hours.

1:20.8

It took us 30 hours in two minutes to complete the route. And it had everything from city roads going through Los Angeles all the way to trails out in like the middle of nowhere

1:29.6

essentially before arriving, arriving into Las Vegas for the finish towards the center of the city

1:35.5

there. And it was just such a cool, unique thing because I'm used to ultramarathon running in the

1:41.2

sense that you start a long race.'s going to be long but you're

1:44.4

kind of responsible for the moving portion of that by yourself so this obviously had the team element

1:49.1

being a six-person relay and it also had another really interesting element in that you're only
