This week, we're recording live from

somewhere outside Rugsville, Texas, discussing the 2003 horror film House of a Thousand Corpses.

This film is the directorial debut of musician Rob Zombie, who also wrote the film, and is the first

installment of the Firefly Family Trilogy. Even after being shaved down to avoid an NC-17 rating, House of A Thousand Corposes is still

full of violence, obscenities, and sexuality.

Despite its cult following, there are still people who do not feel the film deserves the

praise.

These people include Rob Zombie himself, who called the film a calamitous mess.

So what did you guys think of House of a Thousand Corpses the first time you saw it?

I also feel that way.

A calamitous mess? Yes. I remember watching this one time, I guess when it came out. And according to your

sister, I completely just erased everything in the movie except for the end.

And that was all I remember.

That was the only thing you remember from it? Yeah, he's like, isn't that the one where

and then he describes the last 10 minutes of the movie? And I was like, that's literally

the ending. It's the best part. Hard. And what's crazy for me is that I actually love a lot of this movie except for the ending.

I don't like the ending at all.

I think for me is where it falls apart.
