Each week I'll review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King in the chronological order of publication.

And this week I'll be reviewing the final episode of the first season of Hulu's Castle Rock.

When it comes to the finale of season one, there's a lot to parse out.

I've been wondering this since I was about six years old and have only maybe two Stephen King fans I've ever really met, and no one could definitively answer this.

If the losers lose their memory after they defeat it, how do Ben and Bev explain how they met?

When they meet people, is it just we've all been in love since we were 11? That's it. It's all we know. Please don't know how we met. We don't know why we're in love. We just are. Please give me some insight. P.S. Thank you so much for the podcast, as I'm rather stupid. So having someone like you explain the Dark Tower as I read along helps very much.

So the way that I see it is the mind is a very capable organ that we have,

and it will allow for some mental gymnastics.

And I believe that this happens with survivors of trauma and repressed memories. The mind, I don't know if the mind will create totally fabricated

memories that don't line up, but there's a way, I believe, that it has of sort of navigating around those

particular bits so that you don't have to think about it too much you know I

don't remember specifics about when I first met people in my life you know I

just kind of remember them being there around a general,

um, you know, period of time. But the, the, when you try to like grab the, the specifics, it's,

it gets a little bit fuzzy. So I don't know if that, if that's the same, but that I'm able to accept because I do know

that, you know, though we don't have supernatural means encroaching upon the real world, we do
