What up, guys? Welcome today's podcast. Today we are going to talk about something that's a little different than the normal stuff. We'll obviously tie it into jih Tzu, but from speaking with you guys, both in person through emails, through messages online, all that stuff like that. A lot of times I get questions or messages regarding anxiety, right? And again, all of us, I remember reading a stat. I forgot what it was,

0:23.7

but it's like it's a large number of people suffer from things, some sort of mental thing,

0:29.1

everything from depression to anxiety to whatever, right? We all deal with stuff. We all have

0:33.5

stuff going on. And for me, anxiety was, it's kind of my thing, right? It's the one

0:38.2

that I deal without of those bunches. And, um, you know, the first time I had it start was when I was

0:44.6

in my mid-20s. I remember my, uh, my mother had passed away. My girlfriend of several years had

0:50.8

left me. She just, you know, we, she left and then she called me later and told me

0:55.3

she wasn't coming back. At the time, the gym wasn't doing financially so great. We were actually,

1:01.0

there was a bunch of different circumstances that led us to have like a massive drop in,

1:04.9

the amount of income that was coming in. And like, we were tight. There was a couple months where

1:08.5

we were like, this may be the, the end of the show, right? And all these things were piling up. And I didn't realize it,

1:16.6

right? And I was getting overly stressed. I remember there was this point where I started having

1:20.9

like tightness in my chest and I felt like something was wrong with me. I went to my, my doctor,

1:25.4

who was a student of mine, and he's like going through

1:27.9

doing all this stuff. He's like, man, it sounds like you're just really stressed. And, you know,

1:31.5

this is the first time I realized, oh, stress, you know, and I actually experienced for the first

1:35.7

time a panic attack or an anxiety attack. And I remember when I oh, this is such bullshit, right? This is, there's no such thing as this. So you guys are

1:44.3

just being weak. And then I had one and I was like, whoa, that's pretty wild, right? Like,

1:48.9

because it's like you're completely out of control. And so that said, you know, that was the first

1:54.2

time I experienced it back in like 2011, you know, and then over the time, I've had different bouts with it. It comes back periodically because at least for me, anxiety tends to be pretty sneaky.

2:05.0

It slips in there.

2:06.1

Then all of a sudden you realize you're ruminating about stuff and you're just, you're like overwhelmed by things.
