In the spring of 2020, like the rest of Massachusetts, Dover was transformed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The governor had declared a state

of emergency. Schools were closed. Businesses shuttered. Shelter and place orders were in full

effect. Most families had taken to near total isolation within their own homes.

It was against this backdrop that Kirk Fanninsteel woke up on the morning of Friday, May 15th.
