So let me first start with, for people in our audience who don't know your story, you have a great pleasure. Oh, pleasure is all ours. So let me first start with, for people in our

audience who don't know your story, you have a fascinating story, tell everybody, you know,

about your life to this point, because there's a lot of very noteworthy stuff in there.

Well, I was, my father fled Iran, but he also went to study in the United States.

So he fled Iran under the Shah.

He had already been arrested as a student for a few months.

And he was about to be re-arrested.

He traveled to the United States to do a study.

He became a pediatrician. He studied medicine at the University of Te a study. He became a pediatrician.

He studied medicine at the University of Tehran and then became a pediatrician in the United States and then a neonatologist and practiced for a few years.

My mother also studied at university in the United States and was an activist for Iran.

And after the revolution, we moved back to Iran.

I was 12 at that time.

And I guess the more interesting stuff is perhaps when I was 16 during the war,

I volunteered to fight in the war because it was an aggression against the country and a major act of aggression with Western support, U.S. support in particular.
