it is a the show is, like he is one of those voices that's just meant for NPR and like we'll take a thing out of sort of like a holiday tradition we take for granted be like why do we drink

egg nog what's the deal with fruit cake you know and he'll just really kind of

talk to the right people he'll track down the experts and he'll give you the full

history about what Wessel is all about, you know, and they're not just food ones.

Those are all the ones that just leapt into mind, but you know he talks about like why do we say Merry Christmas and not happy Christmas and a lot of different topics and this year he has published a book called

Christmas Past that captures a lot of the stuff that you've heard on the show as well
