Journalist Ben Norton, editor of the Geopolitical Economy Report, joins to talk de-dollarization, whether Tucker's departure from Fox News is a loss for the left's ability to have left issues platformed to a mainstream audience, war with China, and more. All right, I am thrilled to be joined on Bad Fathom podcast once again by Ben Norton, who

is editor of Geopolitical Economy Report, which you can find at geopoliticaleconometreport.com.

Welcome back, Ben.

0:49.0

It's a pleasure.

0:50.0

Thanks for having me.

So, there are a number of topics I want to address with you today.

0:52.0

First and foremost, I reached out because there is a really interesting conversation ongoing

0:55.2

about Tucker's departure from Fox News and whether or not he is being overly credited as an

1:54.0

1:55.9

And I wouldn't to start from the very, very beginning because I am relatively naive in this

2:00.1

space, shall I say. So, first, can you just define what brick stands for when it was founded and

2:05.1

then we'll start from there? Well, bricks has its origins in their 2000s.

2:11.6

There were discussions first in 2006 and it was created in 2009, originally as the brick

2:17.2

block and then South Africa was added, which is the S. So, it stands for Brazil, Russia,
