Well hello there everybody. Welcome to a special Labor Day edition.

This is special. This is special of TBT all the show that just might be too

beautiful to live. My name is Luke Burbank. I'm your host. I'm not even supposed to be here today.

Now you know this is Labor Day and of course this is the day that we honor the hard work of

everybody in this country. So maybe we should have picked a song about not working, about resting,

about reflecting on one's contribution. But we couldn't find a song like that that wasn't

downbeat. So we went with work by Rihanna and honestly that might need to be our new theme song

because I am feeling I am feeling pumped. I am feeling jazzed. I am feeling excited about the next.

I don't know 30 or so minutes of our life together. Thank you for tuning in. Thank you for

also helping me welcome the longest running co-bro of the show. He's an activist and house party

enthusiast. He's a straight gas homie. He's also not even supposed to be here today but to be

honest with you this was sort of his idea and I think he raised a good point which is we just

need to become a podcast that doesn't do reruns on days when it's a holiday and everybody else is

slacking. Everybody else is taking the day off. We will do a show but we'll just do we'll do a

short one and we'll break our normal format and it'll be kind of fun for us and the listeners.
