Summary

How should a church find its next pastor? Who makes this decision? A search committee? A group of elders? The pastor all by himself? And once such a search begins, how should it start?

In this episode of Pastors’ Talk, Jonathan interviews Mark about “one of the most important decisions a church makes,” that is, finding its next pastor.

You're still here? I thought you were going through this other church. Not yet. Okay.

1:31.3

And the souls that you've been serving exist eternally, these people, but you want this

1:36.8

witness of the local church to continue as long as it's able. So just like you pour love and

1:42.1

encouragement into members of your family and into other people you know and care for, you want to see them continue on even, you know, after you're dead or after you all don't live in the same place.
