But let me kick things off, though, by saying this, to the extent that I have any influence over what we broadly think of as Dog Nation, this very large fan base that supports Georgia football,

there is one thing I'm going to try to steer us away

from. We've obviously enjoyed some great national championship success in 2021 and 2022. And

it is always going to be fun to look back on what made those teams special and try to find

commonalities in the current team whenever that might be.

That's just what sports fans do, and we are sports fans.

We will really be no different when it comes to that kind of thing.

However, here's what I want us to try to avoid.

And some of you all know this, especially if you participate in SEC meme culture online.

The way in which Tennessee fans have done this in the many decades since

their last national championship, are you familiar with the Feels Like 98 meme that's out there,

which had to have been started by Tennessee fans, any little thing that happened. Oh, boy,

this feels like 1998. Feels like 98. It became a little bit of a joke to the point

where now, really the only people who use the Feels Like 98 line are non-Tennessee fans making

fun of Tennessee, many such cases, by the way. But either way, the whole Feels Like 98 thing about, about you know Tennessee harking back to its

very brief golden age which was a very long time ago now hopefully as Georgia fans we won't be

saying something along the lines of oh it feels like 22 which I guess in a roundabout way is a

Taylor Swift song, but nonetheless,
