So unless you've been living under a rock, perhaps I shouldn't patronize my audience

that way, but you're probably well aware of the fact that a lot of folks are talking

about this recent Pro Public History, which reveals that Clarence Thomas has taken

a large number of I will call them maybe in kind donations gifts, as they say, from a

particular billionaire donor largely in the form of vacation stays and jet travel over

the course of a number of years.

This has caused politicians like AOC to call for his impeachment and has broadly opened

up a conversation about the right word shift of the Supreme Court and what to do about

it. During the trips that have been described in this Pro Publica piece include trips along

with the architect of the court's right word movement, the founder of the Federalist Society.

So again, this is raising questions about the nature of the Supreme Court.

So it felt really apropos then to invite on the author of the enigma of Clarence Thomas

Corey Robin to have a conversation about what might be driving some of Clarence Thomas

choices here and what if anything we can read into this relationship that he has had with

his billionaire welcome to bad faith podcast Corey.
