And this book was a real treat to, for me, this book actually is a perfect segue between celebrity

memoir May and flashback summer because I definitely read this book as a kid and parts of it

are still like seared into my memory. But revisiting it as an adult, I had a, even more of an appreciation for Ms. Dolly Parton.

Yeah, this was a delightful time.

We picked this one for Celebrity Memoir May, partially because Renata and I and other people are going on a trip to Dollywood in June for Renata's birthday.

And it seemed like a nice little, you know, in addition to being a segue into Flashback Summer, a nice little segue before our trip.

A little treat before we take our trip to learn more for me the first time about Dolly.

Before we get into Dolly, I do want to say a slight content warning because of our beloved Queen Dolly does have some weird boomer type food and body issues that we'll talk about.

So if you're sensitive to that, just listen. I love Dolly

and she's been through it and I'm not going to be mad, but she does really, really not want to

be fat. And that's, you know what? I still love you, Dolly. It's okay.

Yeah. So I, when I was growing up, my parents mostly listened to rock and folk and not a lot of country.

Obviously, like, folk music sort of flurs the line between pop and country a lot of the time or rock in country a lot of the time.

And, you know, so there was some like crossover artists that my parents really liked, but Dolly wasn't one of them.

I'm not saying my parents don't like Dolly, but that was not music.
