Summary

Welcome to Episode 263: The Ozark Spooklight. Near the Oklahoma-Missouri border, there is a stretch of approximately 4 miles of isolated countryside known as the Devil’s Promenade. Within the Devil’s Promenade, there are sightings of shadow people, witches, spirits masquerading as animals, and creepy rundown houses hiding the smell of decay. At the end of East 50 Road in the Devil’s Promenade, a paranormal light phenomenon can be seen dancing and playing, as if it is alive. Some say the light has been there since at least the 1800s, others swear they didn’t start seeing it until the 1920s. While its origins remain unclear, the light became so famous that over time it turned into a teenage right of passage: take your date to “Spook Light Road” for a chance to be chased by something supernatural. The strangest part of all? You can still go see it there today between the hours of 10pm and 12am. On today’s episode of Let’s Get Haunted, we’ll be unravelling the history and mystery of the Ozark Spooklight, reading firsthand witness accounts, and theorizing what exactly the fiery orange orb might really be. Is it a ghost, a cryptid, a portal, or something else entirely? Join us to find out now!
