back, David. Thanks so much. Good to be here. All right. Now, I wanted to talk to you when

I saw the headline of a recent piece, perhaps your most recent piece in the Times titled,

How big of a climate betrayal is the willow oil project? Let's start from the beginning

for those who somehow have missed the bombshell betrayal from the Biden administration, the

latest one at least. What is the willow project? And then maybe you can start to answer the

question that is the title of this piece. It's a project to do some drilling in on federal

land in Alaska by Kenoko Phillips, which the least was actually given to them a long time

ago, but it hasn't been formally approved. And last week of the week before the Biden administration

signal that it would be giving me go ahead and letting that drilling take place. This is

they would say, and it's not untrue that they got some concessions from Kenoko Phillips.

They made it a slightly smaller project, and it was originally intended to be, but it's

also in obvious direct contradiction and violation to a lot of promises that Biden made, especially

on the campaign trail, where he said in particular about drilling on federal land that there

would be none of that allowed under his administration.

Question about how you feel about drilling in the Arctic refuge.

Totally opposed to it. Completely totally opposed. And I think I'm the only one, maybe

not the only one, the only one running who's been up in the Arctic Circle. I've been,

remember the great oil spill that occurred? And I watched what I went up there and I went

up in a helicopter up in the North Slope, and saw what was going on, and saw what was
