I would say that this year's game for Georgia against Georgia Tech feels a little different than some have in the past.

Perhaps for many reasons, but there's one in particular that I want to focus on for a moment.

If we are honest and we strive to be, in most years when Georgia plays Georgia Tech, the average Georgia fan has zero respect for Georgia Tech.

Doesn't really know much about the Yellow Jackets.

It doesn't really feel much of a reason to know much about the Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech just does not exist on Georgia Tech. Doesn't really know much about the Yellow Jackets. radar very frequently. That's not, you know, trash talk or anything like that. It's just reality.

A lot of tech fans would even agree with that, that they don't spend a lot of time thinking about

Georgia either because they just occupy, at least for the most part, very different orbits.

But this particular year, there are some elements of Georgia Tech that have forced Georgia.

Players and coaches are different.

I'm talking about fans here for a moment.

There are some aspects of Georgia Tech that have forced the average Georgia fan to give a little more

respect over the yellow jackets that maybe previous years would have dictated. For instance,

I don't think you can meet a Georgia fan that looks across the field and sees quarterback

Haynes King and not at least say, you know what, that's a pretty tough customer. Haynes King is a good player.

That's a formidable challenge.

Tech has been close with Georgia the last couple of years.

Haynes King has been one of the big reasons why.

You've got to give Haynes King a lot of credit.

I don't care.
