Hello everyone and welcome back to the podcast.

Today's episode is episode 258, and it's a continuation of our series on Billy Solestis.

In France, as well as in the United States, the publication of JFK, Autopsy of a State Crime, earned William Raymond, in his own words, a heap of hate. Yet still in his own words, it was neither a

revolutionary book nor a perfect work. Just a light on the case of the century, intended for an audience weaned on recent information.

I would agree with Mr. Raymond, and the fact that his books are not readily available in this country

tells you something. Tells you about the tremendous pressures that existed at the time,

underneath the covers, to obfuscate and confound

the truth. And perhaps, in some ways, they still exist. He wrote more than that on the JFK

assassination. The particular book on the assassination that I'm drawing from is entitled

The Last Witness, and it was written in conjunction

with Billy Sol Estes. And I have to say that it is a really fascinating read. And we have

already portrayed some of the material here from it in a prior episode or two. And you'll hear

much more from it over the next several episodes. As we continue with

more on Estes, we will bring more forward from Mr. Raymond's book to finish out the storyteller

of Billy Saul Estes. At some points, reading passages directly from the book. Mr. Raymond is French,

and he moved to Dallas years ago, where, as I understand it,

he still lives. His books were published in the French language, and they were published abroad

in France. Sadly, an English version has never been officially published here in the United States.

You have to rely on unofficial translations, which are out, but they are hard to find.

In fact, that formal title of the book in French, as I have mentioned before, is La Dornier de Mont.
