Here's your host, Brandon Adam. For the first time in 2025, the college football playoff top 25 will be released tonight.

I don't have a ton on this today.

Normally, I really like the rankings, even though they don't matter all that much.

I just like arguing this is a ready-made argument.

I enjoy doing that.

And so even if it's just for fun, kind of an intermural, you know, a squabble type thing,

I'll still participate in just because I think it's fun. I don't know that overall,

you know, tonight's going to give us a ton to argue, but I don't know there'll be a huge

level of controversy of these rankings. Two things I'm interested in, and we'll get more to

this later on the show. I do think in some former fashion, the top three will be listed

different than the AP top 25 has them listed. That almost always happens. I'm a little curious to

see how the two lost teams are handled for reasons that I'll get into maybe a bit later on. But for the most part,

you know, I'm not that into. And if you're watching in a video, you see the current AP top 25,

top 10. I think what we'll see tonight will look at least a little different than this,

and we'll get into why that is a bit later on. But even in this world in which I'm not quite as girded for controversy

as I would have been a year ago in the first year of the 12-team playoff or all these previous

years, there is still a belief that I hold fast to, and I am unapologetic about it. I just think

the SEC is a completely different brand of college football compared to the

other leagues. The fact that the Big Ten has won the last two national championships doesn't change

my mind on that at all. Look, I totally acknowledge that in a head-to-head matchup, anything can happen.
