Summary
This week, Briahna interviewed Matt Taibbi about a narrow concern she's had with the Twitter files archive: Despite the obvious value that Matt and other twitter files reporters have created by exposing links between the intelligence agencies and online censorship, is it fair to characterize Twitter's bias as against the right and indifferent to the left given how little we know about which documents have been turned over by Elon Musk and why? Unlike Musk, most whistleblowers are not the heads of the organizations they're informing on. Does Musk's investment in and control over Twitter demand more journalistic scrutiny? Is it possible to characterize the files reviewed so far without making broader claims about about the total archive that, at this point, can't be substantiated? Has there been sufficient inquiry into bias against the left, and has their been sufficient disclosure about the limitations Musk has put on the journalists who've been given access to the archive? It's a difficult and nuanced discussion. Let's debrief tonight on Callin.

| 0:06.7 | But oftentimes it's, there's this far ranging right anti-right wing bias, did it? |
| 0:11.7 | Which I don't have a problem with except for I think that the story is there is a |

| 0:21.9 | It's a nuanced point, but I think that it's important. |
| 0:24.4 | But the reason you're seeing more of this against the right than the left is that the left is |
| 0:28.8 | toothless and no threat to anybody, whereas the right is actually scary to the national |
| 0:34.0 | security establishment because of Brexit, because of Trump, because of other things. |
| 0:38.3 | If that's true, Matt, why is it that 85% of all FBI action, FBI activity, has been |
| 0:44.8 | historically focused on the left? I'm not talking about the right now contemporary. Yes. |
| 0:51.3 | Okay, well, I'm not looking at 1970. I'm looking at 2015 on. |
| 0:57.0 | That's fine, but Matt, we all saw, I mean, we just all saw Bernie wins Nevada and next |
| 1:01.8 | day on MSNBC, it's Bernie's in talks with Putin and he's going to cut people's heads off |
| 1:07.2 | in central part. I'd love to get that story. I would love to get, but is that on Twitter? I don't |
| 1:12.0 | know. I mean, I mean, I've certainly looked for it. Tell me more about looking for it. I mean, |
| 1:16.5 | what kind of searches have been done to try to investigate what was going on at Twitter around |
| 1:21.1 | some of the Bernie Bot, Bernie Bro narratives in 2016 and 2020. Let's just say that I've |
| 1:26.0 | searched for anything in involving the government and claims about Russia. And Bernie. |
| 1:32.6 | No, not Bernie specifically, because I haven't done a search on Sanders. I've done a search on a |

| 1:43.6 | Nevada election. And I was looking for one thing, like, Francis, I didn't go looking for the Hamilton |
