Here's the crazy thing. I reported on the Abdul Al-Sayyad campaign in Michigan a couple years ago, and the weekend I was out there, AOC, was out there on the campaign trail with him giving speeches. And the thing that struck me when I saw her live speaking, the only couple times I have, was she was the best public speaker I have ever seen in my life. And Abdul Al-Sayat is a fantastic public speaker. Very, very good. She was better. She's really, really good

at public speaking when she wants to be. She's very, very charismatic. She's very skilled at

articulating her political positions. And so when she does that, when she shies away from

debate, I think there's this fear that we can't win. We've almost accepted the rights

view that like if we had a debate, we wouldn't do well in it. And I don't think that's correct.

Like, I think if you train for it, I think she'd be better at a debate than I would be because

she's a really good public speaker and I'm kind of a hesitant public speaker sometimes.

But I think she could win.

So if she did, that would make our side look really good.

If you just embarrassed,

if you just exposed all the stupid things

that Marjorie Taylor Green believes and said,

like, well, the things that she believes that are wrong

are the right-way things that you should reject, and the things that she believes that are correct, we believe on the left. So just come and join the left and forget Marjorie Taylor-Grain's politics. She could do that, and I think she could do really well. So why not do it? Do you think there's an argument that she has more to lose than she does to win? We do have a lot to lose. I get that. Like, if you go up in one of these debates and you don't do well and you get humiliated and embarrassed, yeah, it's really bad for your side. So they're pretty high risk. But that's why you shouldn't lose. Okay, so if you were training ASC for this hypothetical debate with Marjorie Taylor Green. Let's take some lessons from

this book that you've written. Sure. What would your first hour of the prep session be like?

Yeah. The first hour of the prep session is you are going to think like your opponent, right? You are

going to understand their views. The thing that I say over and over and over in this book is, conservatives are not

stupid. They are wrong, but they're not stupid. And so if you treat them as stupid, you're not going to

be able to respond to them effectively. For example, if you take the abortion issue and your

perspective is, government shouldn't tell me what to do with my body, The instant conservative response is going to be, yeah, but it's murder.

The government's allowed to intrude when it's a matter of life and death.
