Hello, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the Detroit Lions Breakdown podcast.

I'm Joe Cania with me as always is Eric Schlett from pride of Detroit.com.

Eric, last Sunday, was an absolute disaster for the Lions as they fell to the New England Patriots,

29-0. I don't know if we probably shouldn't harp on it too much this week. I'm sure we will.

Got a buy week coming up, so no win, no loss this Sunday. But lions have to figure out a lot

of stuff before they take their longest road trip of the season in week seven when they

travel to Dallas. Yep. Yeah, they, yeah, I don't want to spend a ton of time on the Patriots,

but there are certainly things we need to talk about. I just don't want to, you know, I want

to turn the page, I guess, as fast as we can here. But, yeah, I mean, the Patriots game was,

it exposed some things about both sides of the ball.

It was strange because they believed that the defense improved, and you could argue that it did improve slightly.

Slightly.

Took a step in the right direction, but at the same time, it's still bad.

I mean, it is.

No, it really, you went.

It only gave up 22 points, but it still gave up, you know, 180 yards rushing.

It made a third string quarterback in his first career start, who the lion saw for a week as a senior bowl player they had no answers for yeah and and you

know look injuries came into play and i mean the secondary every like everybody went down in the

secondary at one point it was a disaster with 10 10 members of the secondary in uh uniform on sunday

and five of them gone yeah by the end of that game.

Right. It was a very, a turn style of problems.

Yeah. And then, I mean, that certainly didn't help, but that, you know, i thought they still had some massive flaws um still
